Scope: Master Planning & Signage Typology

Freytag & Associates, Inc. and Jaccyn Design were selected to complete the master plan for the village of Kalida. Designed with members of the Pioneer Days Committee, the Kalida Chamber of Commerce, and other village members, this master plan was driven by a group of civic-minded citizens committed to steering the community into a future that maintained the many positive aspects of the village while embracing progress and creating a vision for the future.
Freytag & Associates, Inc. also developed a signage typology which was used to highlight important historic and community spaces. The bell tower at St. Michael’s catholic church, a focal point in Kalida, served as an inspiration for the signs dispersed throughout the village.
