Scope: New Construction Location: Lewistown, Ohio Enrollment: 800 Students
This 106,000 square foot building was designed to accommodate grades five, six, seven and eight. The academic classrooms were arranged as wings connected to the central building. Each grade level occupies a wing, for a total of 38 academic classrooms. At the center, the media center is the focus of the academic wings. Community and extracurricular activities - gymnasium, student commons, instrumental and choral rooms, industrial technology lab, multi-purpose room, art lab and family and consumer science lab are designed as a connected ‘field house’. The academic classroom wings can be secured while extracurricular activities occur in the ‘field house’.
