Immaculate Conception Church completed a major renovation project in December 2003 to upgrade the church sanctuary, provide necessary repairs, and expand devotional areas. This grand neo-Romanesque church was built in 1903 and renovations were scheduled for their centennial dedication in December 2003. The planning and fund raising process took almost two years to complete with numerous committee and congregation meetings before the final scope of work was developed. Major areas of renovation include sanctuary plaster repair; restoration of fresco, murals, and decorative painting; stained glass restoration and storm sash repair; repaired devotional fixtures; replacement of liturgical furnishings; revised pew arrangement; exterior masonry repair, new HVAC system, new and restored lighting; new floor finishes; and new sound system.
